Wives Tales
So we find out what the baby is next Friday, the 27th, and I decided to try out some wives tales for a good laugh and to see if any of them will turn out.
1- NEEDLE AND THREAD. So you thread a needle with thread, stroke the thread 10x with your pointer finger and thumb. After that you have your palm facing down with the needle hanging 1 inch away from it, then you turn your palm so it is facing up. If it swings back and forth it is a BOY if it swings in circles it is a GIRL! Mine said BOY....3x.
2- VEINS UNDER YOUR EYES. So you go in the mirror and look at the veins under the colored part of your eyes if they are shaped like a V you're having a GIRL if it is shaped like nothing it is a BOY.
Mine said GIRL under both eyes.
3- ACNE. They say if you have increased acne it's a GIRL. If you're just normal its a BOY.
Mine would be BOY. I have had wonderful skin so far.
4-HAIRYNESS. If you are noticing that any hair on your body is growing in faster then it is a BOY. If not it's a GIRL!
My leg hair is growing like crazy I swear I have to shave twice as often maybe it's a BOY.
5- KEY TEST. If you pick up a key by the bulky end/ round end you're having a BOY if you pick it up by the skinny end then it is a GIRL.
Mine was BOY.
6- CHINESE GENDER CHART. You will have to look it up. But according to my conception date I could have conceived January 30- February 1st. So I cannot be totally accurate with the chart.
7- CRAVINGS. If you crave salty food it is a BOY if you was sweets it's a GIRL.
I crave SALT all I eat right now is chalupa's from Taco Bell.
8- BAKING SODA. Take a teaspoon of baking soda and pour a cup of pee on it. If it fizzes it's a BOY if it does nothing it's a GIRL. ( This can also be done with bleach)
Bleach: Mine fizzed and so did Andrew's Hahaha
Baking Soda: No Fizz.
9-HEARTBEAT. If the baby's heartbeat is under 139 it is a BOY if it is over 140 it is a GIRL.
We have not been to the doctor yet but I will let you know!
Well according to the wives tales it is an absolute BOY BOY BOY. I am excited to find out for REAL and we will be ecstatic for either a boy or girl.
Ps. Jocelynn can count to 10 and know's her ABC'S. Just so I can remember.

Blessed
After listening to conference there were so many things that really hit home for me. Whether you believe in the church or not I felt like there were so many things that anyone can apply in their lives. One of my favorite things that was said pretty much said that the greatest blessings that we have are the ones that take place within the walls of our homes. Whether that is being a newly wed, just having a baby, being married for 20 years etc. There is always something that can be done in your home that will bless you for the rest of your life. For me it is being a wife and a mother. All I ever wanted to be was a good wife and mother, and it is kind of surreal to think that I am already in that stage of life. I am grateful for being blessed with the opportunity to have children and to teach them. I am grateful for the opportunity to have a husband to learn and grow with to be better people for each other and our children.

Sick Sick Sick Sick.
I think I will try and do a post every month or two on my pregnancy. So far I have been SOOOOOOOOO nauseated and cannot seem to throw up unless I am willing to take 30 min out of my day to try and do so. With Jocelynn I was barfing all day and all night until I was almost 30 weeks. So to just feel like poop all day with really no relief is kinda freaking me out this time around. Another thing that is already different is I have gained 7 pounds already, which is odd to me because all I eat is Jello, sandwiches, juice and water. Something that is really cool is I can already feel the tiny bubble in my stomach. I still feel like me being pregnant is too good to be true! I cant wait to see this cute baby on an ultrasound in a few weeks! Here is what my baby looks like :)

Catching up
Well let's start off with the super de duper exciting news! I am PREGNANT! YaY! Just in time too! Last year on Easter I got off my birth control and have had no luck until this last month. I had some health issues pretty much all last year and after a few test's and a lot of waiting we discovered my Progesterone levels were low and my Estrogen levels were high ... So I pretty much needed to get on some Progesterone cream ( which my grandma happened to have a prescription strength. HUGE money saver) and once that was leveled out it would also level my Estrogen levels, which in turn helps level all of my hormones. I was on it (estimated) a week and got prego! And it is nice to have around because it also helps minimize risk of bleeding during pregnancy as well. That is the EXTREMELY short version. We are barely barely pregnant but decided to tell people because a lot of people new our struggle with it. So thank you for all the thoughts and prayer's if you were informed!
Next...Valentines Day. Andrew got me some flower's and an very sweet card which I lov , took me to Jasmine Thai Lao Cusine and we also did sealing's at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Jocelynn got a little cow and card from Andrew, which she loves. It was a good much needed day.
Next... BRACE'S I get them off March 6th and I am SO excited. A little scared but mostly excited.
And lastly, we finally filed our tax returns for the year. We are super stoked to get them back and pay my braces off, plus have some extra savings money.
Anyways that is our life right now :)

2 YEAR'S OLD!
Birthday GIRL! She wore the hat ALL day!
Cute picture of Jocey being a big 2 year old!
Motor Skills: How to properly close the X-Box tray, how to work me and Andrew's entire phones, feed herself a complete meal with a spoon or fork, put her pants on, tickle mommy and daddy's back, buckle the top part of her carseat, she know's almost all household items so she can bring them to you, she knows how to wrap, feed and take care of her babies, she brushes her own hair and teeth, she tries to put her own bow's in etc.
Cognitive Skills: She can repeat and say ANYTHING you say to her, she has learned to mimic multiple words in a row back to you, she has learned to answer you back instead of just repeating you, example: Mom: I love you Jocey. Jocey: Love you too mom. She has learned to answer you with yes or no instead of just repeating the word you said if she wants it and saying no if she does not, she can identify people by names if we have taught it to her, she counts to 3, she knows the capital letters A B C O J if you write them down, she know the shapes star, heart, moon, flower, sun, and a stick person, she identifies what items belong to certain people example: My ring and Andrew's ring, the plate I have been eating off of and her plate etc., she understands completely when she is in trouble and also why, she has learned to say sorry without us having to tell her first.
Fun things Jocelynn loves: She love's to have 1 spray of my perfume on her before we leave, she love's to pretend put on deodorant, she loves to pick out her own outfits, she loves to wipe her own face, when we tried to take away her binkie it went a little something like this, " Jocelynn Daddy does not think you should have a binkie anymore ok?" Jocelyn puts on an instant powty face and starts to whimper and cry, until we tell her she can have it when we get home.
Fact: I asked my Orthodontist Dr. Graff if it really does hurt babies teeth to have a binkie, he laughed and said no it just needs to be taken away by the time they are 3 or 4 for school. But he did say that thumb suckers are really bad for teeth. Binkie's mold to the babies mouth and they even have orthodontic kinds, but thumbs do not mold to your mouth and instead make your teeth mold to your thumbs. He again laughed and said no keep those binkie's in if they are not to old and it really helps them. This makes me feel a lot better I just hope she is willing to give it up soon and not require it for naps and bed.
Anyways that is a little about our awesome little girl! Cant wait to see all the things she can do by this time next year!

Our year.
Andrew: At the beginning of the year Andrew worked at Nestle, in March he ended up losing his job. He did little side jobs here and there until August when he was hired at Vivint. In September he decided to get a 2nd job at 5 Buck Pizza so we could have some extra money. In November he lost his job at Vivint but miraculously had accepted the Store Manager Job at 5 Buck Pizza earlier that day. Andrew through all this was also going to school as a full time student and completed his first year of college. And to top that all off his uncle Randy and his family died in August so he was making trips to Idaho back and forth for a few months, while also grieving the loss of his uncle. Andrew says that he has learned that he does not do so well with online classes and he secretly LOVES school.
Starrie: This year was CRAZY for me! But I am proud to say that I completed all but one of my resolutions from last year. I learned a lot from having to go through all the up's and down's of Andrew's work, but in the end it has been worth it. I am grateful that through all of that Andrew supported my decision in continuing to stay at home and my decision to support him in whatever venue he wanted to/needed to take to support our family. I also had the opportunity to watch my sweet little niece Sarah this year for 3 days a week. It has really taught me a lot of things having 2 toddlers in the house. Sarah is such a sweet and well mannered little girl and I am grateful for the blessing she has been to our home. And of course the playmate she has been to Jocelynn. I have had a few health problem's this year, that has been hard because of the fact that I have never really had health problem's before but whatever it's life.
Jocelynn: Our baby knows how to sing, talk, run, be loving , helpful, know's some of her letters and numbers, throw tantrums, say NO when asked to do something, takes care of her babies, be polite, can hold a conversation for a period of time etc. ALL learned from this year. She had a few firsts such as going to the Aquarium, she pet a sting ray, she now has a toddler bed, went rock climbing and hiking, held a lot of babies on her own, went and saw the lights at temple square, turned 2, went to Idaho without mommy etc. She is so sweet and we are so excited to see her learn and grow this next year.

We have learned so much this year and have grown so close as a family. We are excited for the year to come and hopefully for all the good changes!
